FG Suspends Immigration Boss, Paradang

The Federal Government has suspended from office the Comptroller-General of Immigration, Mr David Parradang, with immediate effect.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the suspension was contained in a statement signed by the Director of Press, Federal Ministry of Interior, Mr Yusuf Isiaka Alhaji, on behalf of the permanent secretary of the ministry.

Although, no reason was given for the suspension, a source said it may not be unconnected with the visa said to have been issued to a leader of ISIS in Lebanon.

The ISIS leader was arrested last week and found to be in possession of aa Nigerian Visa.

To replace the suspended NIS boss, the Deputy Comtroller-General of Immigration, Mr Martin Kure Abeshi, had been directed to take over the affairs of the office, the statement said.
