APC Has Depleted Ekiti Treasury – Fayose

The Ekiti State governor-elect, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, has accused the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state of depleting the state’s treasury.

Fayose said the state government had incurred a lot of debt for his incoming administration.
Fayose said this yesterday in Abuja during his appreciation visit to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) secretariat.
The former governor noted  that  he served as the state governor between 2003 and 2006 without incurring any debt, adding that he left N10.4 billion in the states treasury in 2006.
“I left N10.4 billion in the confers of the state today all the wealth has gone,” he said.
Fayose said he would  do everything possible to ensure victory for the PDP in the August 9 governorship election in Osun State and President Goodluck Jonathan’s reelection in the 2015 general election.
He said the PDP was more popular than the APC in the South-west, adding that the APC had no manpower to achieve electoral victory, as the opposition party thrives on propaganda.
The governor-elect promised to bring back the aggrieved party leaders who had left to work for the victory of the president.
“I will stand up for Jonathan, PDP should embrace people who can win elections, charlatans are taking over the reigns of leadership because the  righteous are discouraged. We must turn a new leaf, people with values should not be discouraged, I encourage anyone who has something good to offer to continue with their mindset, irrespective of propaganda against them,” he added.
Fayose who was in the company of the ministerial nominee from the state, Mr. Dayo. Adeyeye, said the PDP’s consensus arrangements would have defeated him in the primaries if not for President Jonathan’s intervention.
