Presidency Welcomes Nuhu Ribadu to PDP
The Presidency has welcomed the former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu into the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The presidency described his defection as a positive development to the Nigerian polity.
Special Assistant to the President on New Media, Reno Omokri, wrote on Twitter that Ribadu’s name could be likened to “honey” in modern-day Nigerian politics.
“Mallam Nuhu Ribadu is like honey. Even if you change its name, honey will still be sweet,” Omokri wrote on Twitter.
Ribadu decamped from his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), to the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), last week and has picked the party’s nomination form to contest the governorship bye-election in Adamawa State.
