Aminu Tambuwal Security Aides Withdrawn

The presidency has reportedly withdrawn the security aides attached to Speaker of the House of Representatives Aminu Waziri Tambuwal.

The withdrawal of his security details may not be unconnected with his defection from the PDP which didn’t go down well with the party and the presidency.

Tambuwal formally announced his defection from the ruling Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) to the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) last Tuesday.
According to report, “Early this morning, few minutes after midnight to be precise, top level security report informed the Speaker that orders have been given for the withdrawal of his security details.”
With the development, the retinue of security aides the speaker is entitled to as the number four citizen of the country in the hierarchy of protocol, which include  men from the Police, Civil Defence Corps and the Department of State Security (DSS) will no longer provide protection for the speaker.
Aside the withdrawal of the security aides, the presidency is also making efforts to secure a court judgment against the speaker.
He was said to have been told that “a verdict will be entered against him by a Court in Abuja on Thursday.
