Re: The Bank Loans For Elections Integrity Question; A Rejoinder By Yusuf Muye
“N27 million is a big sum, thankfully I have personal relationship with the manager of my bank in Kaduna and early this morning, I put an early call and I told him that very soon the forms are coming, so, whether I am on red, or green or even black please honor it, otherwise I may lose the nomination.”——- Retired General Muhammad Buhari. -16th. October 2014.
My attention has been drawn to an article written by one Ezeani Chukwunonso Elvis who claims to be the South West Zonal Director of Communication, Research and Strategy of people Democratic Party national youth frontier. Mr Ezeani, As I read your piece with dismay, I couldn’t help but feel sorry for my dear Nigeria. Sorry in the sense that if Nigeria’s future will be in the hands of rogues like Mr Ezeani. Then we are doomed. It’s saddening. A lot of unnecessary lies have been peddled against the person of general Buhari concerning the purchase of APC nomination form. I personally watched on TV when the general was purchasing the form, at no time did the general talked about collecting loan or borrowing money from a bank to purchase the form talk more of mentioning the name of the bank. It’s a pity that ever since his historic declaration and seeing the number of Nigerians that made Abuja stood still for his declaration, PDP and the presidency have been jittery so they have resorted to media campaign to discredit the peoples general and peddle lies and deceits like they have been used to. It is a pity that the likes of Ezeani are being used to destroy this country. Young men that are supposed to be in the forefront of agitating for a better Nigeria.
Mr. Ezeani. In the beginning of your article, you quote a statement credited to General Muhammadu Buhari during the purchase of his form, but you went ahead to twist the whole story in your misleading write up. I have refused to believe that you are that slow-witted to comprehend that quote. Most of you PDP foot soldiers have chosen to be clueless like your master but deciphering the general’s quote if at all necessary can’t be that hard for even a secondary school student. But since you and your likes are hell bent on misleading gullible Nigerians forgetting the fact that Nigeria of yesterday is no more. There is a whole new Nigeria now. The wind of change is hitting every nooks and crannies of this country.
It is pathetic that The PDP through Mr. Ezeani and his likes always prefer going through cheap routes to propagate their campaign of calumny on a trustworthy person as General Buhari. So they use every slight opportunity to twist issues to their advantage. They have failed in labeling him a religious bigot, they failed in selling their age crap to the populace and now they have chosen the nomination form issue which is dead on arrival.
Mr. Ezeani will prefer General Buhari to be corrupt like his pay masters. I see no reason why someone will be attacked from every angle for being too clean. Unlike the president and PDP that have been involved in various questionable deals, General Buhari can’t and won’t be sorry for being a clean public servant. He worked hard to earn his integrity.
Mr. Ezeani you claimed General Muhammadu Buhari have lost three major presidential elections. You must be living in the figment of you and PDP’s imagination. It is still fresh in our memories how PDP machineries rigged the respected general out of those three elections. But Nigerians are wiser now. It’s a new dawn. You also claimed the fourth victory is few months away. That is to show the PDP machineries have been scheming on how to rig the 2015 election. The PDP should be planning on how to vacate the presidency come 2015 because the rightful owners whom are Nigerians have decided to bring in new tenants into the Aso Rock villa.
I do not understand how you claim you will defeat General Buhari without difficulty and still worry so much about APC fielding him. You also claim he is the poorest candidate Nigeria has ever seen or that’s the impression he has created for himself. Well he will be running against the richest candidate Nigeria has ever seen who has enriched himself to the detriment of poor Nigerians. Let’s meet at the polls. I keep wondering why being poor will be a cause for your concern but I can’t seem to wrap my head around it. It is funny that Mr. Ezeani has also resort to suggesting a candidate to present for APC which is laughable. Shouldn’t you be planning strategies for your one man party for the forthcoming election?
Mr. Ezeani it’s also important to note that although there were several set of people that indicated interest in purchasing the nomination form for General Buhari because of his integrity and unconditional love they have for him, but as a man that doesn’t have to be indebted to anyone he chose to pay for himself. And it’s also important for you to understand that Nigerians are fully prepared to give the general their unflinching support in which ever legal aspect possible in order to rescue them from the misrule of PDP and that includes monetary aspects. We will go all out and campaign for him with our money in order to see that PDP is history.
I guess Mr. Ezeani will rather see Nigeria six feet under with high level of impunity under president Goodluck Jonathan because he and his immediate family are beneficiaries of his corrupt government than see a man like General Muhammad Buhari that will pilot this country to the Nigeria of our dreams. It’s a pity that PDP will choose a cheap and deceitful means to push their propaganda but they will always fail.
PDP and Mr. Ezeani shouldn’t worry about how general Buhari will fund his campaign because he doesn’t need to rent crowds and pay voters to get them to vote for him. Even with high level of irregularities in 2011 general elections, general Buhari managed to amass 12 million votes, so with the level of awareness and how wiser Nigerians are now, it’ is a known fact that PDP, their propagandas, lies and deceits will be history in few months to come.
Finally I will like to advice PDP and Mr. Ezeani to as a matter of urgency stop wasting their energy and money on cheap blackmails and lies and concentrate on their one man party and its inner rumblings. They should go and prepare for the imminent defeat of their party in 2015 polls. They should prepare on how to pack their bags and baggages from Aso Rock come 2015. As Nigerians are united now and won’t only be voting them out but will make sure they are chased out of power. The era of using religion to manipulate the electorate is long gone. 15 years of misrule (6 years of GEJ’s misrule) is enough. The people’s General is back to take his multiple stolen mandate and Nigerians will make sure he gets it.
Long live General Muhammadu Buhari, long live APC, Long live federal republic of Nigeria
