The Fear Of Cleric and Elite On Gen. Buhari’s Presidency By Sabiu Zaranda

Those that learned from history will never be a victim of it. But how will a wrongdoer who suppose to pay for the consequences of his action called that victimisation? The elite and cleric that are having sleepless night since from the day General Muhammadu Buhari made his presidential declaration did so for the fear of the justice that Buhari administration will bring about. His precedence to rule of law and corrupt free society remains the watch words of his government and when did fairness and justice become victimisation?

What result in military to overthrown Shagari’s government and install Gen Buhari so as not to have problem with credibility are more pronounce now under the watch of President Goodluck Jonathan when compared with Shagari’s administration in all ramifications. Being it the so called insecurity or the alleged corruption not to mention the favouritism, nepotism and impunity of the current PDP led administration that transforms certain group of people into JONATHANIANS as part of Mr president transformation agenda.

As the saying goes,” prevention is better than cure”. But what do you expect from a person that is already infected and denied himself the most potent drug that can cure his super chronic diseases? Moving across the length and breadth of Nigeria stabbing Gen Buhari at back, painting him with all sort of characters in trying to stop his presidential bid by Nigerian Cleric and Elite is not only seen as crime but the most anti human policy embarked by few individuals to denied the majority of Nigerians that lives below a dollar per day a chance for better life. Gen Buhari remain the most discipline who has the muscles to manage, control and prevent corruption and insecurity in Nigeria. The APC delegates has decided and the party have confirmed it. What else do you want? Until they changes this attitudes, the dignity of elite and cleric are at risk. Yes, we are fully aware of sinister plan by your pay masters to continue with the whole mudslinging on Gen Buhari in order to discourages masses on general participation in the forth coming election. If you continue fetching your tent with them, the mistake you will make will result to your ignominious end and there is no two way about it.

The so called elite or power brokers as they are rightly called in political context, fear the emergence of Gen Buhari as the number one citizen because all the unnecessary privileges that they have been enjoying will be stop while the ill gotten money they have gathered will not get any increment. They all know that the issue of honouring and celebrating corrupt public office holders and elite will vanish at a point. No more hidden place for those that suck the country’s blood from jugular vein.

To commercial cleric that turned their worshipping places to a tax collection centres where the poor that lives in spartan will work hard to pay a money to sustain the luxurious life of his cleric in the name of given alms, charity,offering or making sacrifice to get the Supreme Being blessing will not be tolerated. These clerics feared that their days of oppression are numbered. Yes we all know that cleric are suppose to revive their followers on spiritual awakening and social reforming but what is happening now is spreading the words of hatred that result in extremist and intolerance among faith members. It’s on this note that some cleric hate Buhari’s policy of WAR AGAINST INDISCIPLINE which may necessitate cross checking their sermons and preaches in other to control and prevent such unwanted ideology and behaviour in our midst in the name of religion. But why should they be afraid as long as they are not inciting religious fundamentalist?

The position and calibre of our elite and cleric will not be reduce to the point of ridiculous if they will behave themselves well. But unfortunately the elite that suppose to speak for the masses, speaks only for themselves and pursue their selfish interest against the wishes of a common man likewise our cleric that suppose to speak the word of God have turned themselves to praised preacher that acknowledge the evil action of those in power and induced hatred and intolerance among their followers.

It’s known to all Nigerians beyond reasonable doubt that the issue of insecurity is a national one that cut across tribe and religion. If Gen Buhari will openly said Boko Haram is just like “Irish Republic Army” why should elite or cleric worries them selves about the issue of insecurity, mentioning it regional and religious under tunes? Or do they don’t have skeleton in their cupboard? No one will be arrested if the person has nothing to do with the ungodly act of terrorism and none can be jailed under democratically elected government without being tried and found guilty by the laws of our land. So please worry not as Buhari’s government will uphold human right to the highest order but justice and fairness will not be compromised regardless of the calibre of the person involved.
