Nigerian Troops Recapture Baga Town from Boko Haram



 Nigerian troops have recaptured Baga from Boko Haram militants today according to a tweet from the Nigeria defense spokesperson.

Baga was overrun by Boko Haram militants in January 2015 a few days after the Multi-national troops withdrew from army barracks of the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF).

Boko Hraram laid siege in Baga this January killing between 200 to 3000 civilians in a major holocaust.
