Nigerians In Germany Endorse Buhari For President

Nigerians living in Germany have endorsed the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, and his running mate, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, in the March 28th elections.
The endorsement was announced at a gathering at the Hochfeld Hall, Hochfeld, Duisburg, Germany last weekend. About 100 Nigerians were in attendance and they all pledged to ensure all their relatives back home vote for the APC ticket.

The Coordinator of the German Chapter of the APC, Hakeem Fashola, said Nigerians living and working abroad are the ones who bear the shame of the failures of the current administration.
“We are tired of being laughed at,” he said. Everywhere we go, we are reminded of how the terrible image our country and our president has over here. It is getting more and more difficult to hold your head up proudly and say you are a Nigerian. See how they messed us up at the Chatam House when hungry young Nigerians were paid to come and protest against General Buhari. How embarrassing!
“Nigeria needs change and in Buhari and Osinbajo, we can see that change. Their plans to create jobs, provide electricity and end perversive corruption are very detailed and they have the will to carry it through. By the grace of God, we will give them all the moral support from here and ensure that all our relations vote for them massively. We can’t miss this chance for true change.”
Mr. Fashola said his members of the group have donated vehicles, audio CDs, souvenirs and other  items to support APC candidates including Femi Gbajabiamila and Desmond Elliot.
Secretary of the chapter, Mukaram Akorede, said, “Nigerians have a choice to make between voting for a party that has failed for 16 years or the one that has made Lagos the most attractive city in Africa. We must choose between the party that worships corruption or the one that has a plan to end it. I think Nigerians know who is allowed terrorists to kill so many people in the North and will choose APC and vote for Buhari.”
Mr. Akorede berated the leadership of Nigeria for failing to keep its promise to ensure that Nigerians in the Diaspora vote in the 2015 elections. He said if Namibia could hold elections with their citizens abroad participating, Nigeria that claims to be the giant of Africa should be able to do the same.
Many of the members at the occasion took photos and share online. Some were seen making calls home to sell the Buhari/Osinbajo ticket.
