Boycott Indonesian Products From Today By Angel Allen O

Indonesia Ministry of Trade claims it has a bi-lateral trading relationship with Nigeria but wouldn’t let Nigerian made products into Indonesia. (Maltina)

Living in Indonesia is lovely, here you can find almost everything you need but the quality varies.
It is not easy to find African products, food and beverage, body and hair care products, clothes and shoes that fit and moreIn Indonesia.

The Nigeria community in Indonesia is increasing, most people are here only for a short while, but a few have decided to make Indonesia their home.

A lot of Indonesian products are exported to Nigeria, some have made so much money from the Nigerian Market that they have open their production offices in Nigeria also companies like IndoFood, popularly know for “Indomie”. (Which I’m sure we all agree that it taste good but it is very unhealthy because of the preservatives used and also the amount of MSG in the spices) and if I remember correctly MSG is banned from all foods in Nigeria, Mayorapopularly known for Energen, chokichoki, candies, biscuits (all not healthy)
The Nigerian community decided to start importing some of what we need to Indonesia too. This would help the Nigerian market expand into Asia. This way we won’t only be known as consumers but also producers.
The first product that the community decided to Import is “Maltina”, which is produced by our very own Nigerian Breweries PLC.

Maltina is 100% better that all(I’m stressing on all) the Indonesia food and beverage sent to Nigeria.
It doesn’t contain Sodium which is what is packed in the junk Indonesian companies send to Nigeria. NAFDAC please take Note.

The Product arrived in Indonesia, all necessary documents prepared, but the Indonesian Department of Trade said the Certificate of inspection isn’t acceptable, that the container should have beeninspected byIndonesia approved inspection agency in Lagos before leaving Nigeria. The community is confused, the container was inspected by an authorized body in Nigeria, and we have the certificate and all. But Indonesia Ministry of Trade said that they would not recognize that. It has to be done by their own people.
Ok, we apologized because this requirement wasn’t on any of the government website and during all the consultations we made before shipping this goods no one said anything about it.

At first they said since this is our first container, we would be allowed to apply to their Trade Ministry for them to check the container at Jakartaport.

But when you mention to anyone the goods is from Nigeria they immediately deny the application without considering.

The Embassy tried to get involved but they shut them down saying we don’t need anything from Nigeria, we don’t need Nigeria’s business. That is funny, coming from those who make more than $600million/year from Nigeria.

We need to boycott Indonesia Made Products. We have to stop importation of Indonesia made products and consumer products shipped from Indonesia.

This boycott starts today. We are demonstrating in front of the Embassy of Nigeria, something has to be done. No more licenses should be approved for any product from Indonesia trying to get into Nigeria. The Government should stop the sale of all Indonesia products in Nigeria.
